Six weeks, four hands and one tennis bracelet that refused to fall correctly.

The Ondine took six weeks, and five of them were spent on articulation. Fifty-two baskets will only fall like fabric if every link is filed to the same tolerance.

Our setter works to two hundredths of a millimetre by eye, then checks under a loupe. When a line is right you can hear it — the bracelet makes almost no sound as it moves.

Nothing in this workshop is fast. That is the entire proposition.
